History

The Mintaka Foundation for Medical Research was registered in Geneva on October 25th 2005. Since then the Foundation has raised well over a million Swiss Francs for the support of its projects. Because of the international scope of its activities, Mintaka has been placed directly under the supervision of the Swiss Confederation, through the Federal Ministry of the Interior. Mintaka has been officially recognized as of ‘public benefit’ by the Canton of Geneva and has tax-exempt status in Switzerland.
